Appliance Age & Warranty Reference

Decode supported Bradford White and GE serial formats, see ambiguous dates, and check warranty directly with the manufacturer.

This decoder supports the documented Bradford White two-letter date prefix and GE’s standard two-letter, six-digit, final-letter format. It reports possible manufacturing dates, not installation dates. Older or other formats require manufacturer confirmation.

Read an accessible rating label only. Do not remove energized panels, move heavy appliances or enter an unsafe area. The entry is decoded locally and is not saved by this tool.

Warranty and remaining life

Warranty status: not determined here. Use the manufacturer’s lookup and original purchase or installation documents. Coverage may depend on the product, registration, ownership, location and exclusions. A serial date alone is not a warranty decision.

Remaining service life cannot be calculated from a serial number. Condition, maintenance, water quality, installation and use matter. Arrange assessment for leaks, unusual operation or safety warnings regardless of age. Do not keep unsafe equipment running to reach an estimated replacement age.

Sources checked November 5, 2026: Bradford White date chart and GE date chart. Repeated year codes are deliberately shown as alternatives. Confirm the decade with the manufacturer; a manual print date is supporting evidence, not proof.
